Chris Fazio

Founder of Jordan Valley Retreats

My name is Chris Fazio, and I am the founder of Jordan Valley Retreats. My journey through life has given me a passion for broken families and relationships. As a previously divorced man, myself, divorce was one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. It was a time marked by pain, reflection, and a deep desire to understand myself and the relationships that shaped me. My passion is to share my experiences with others who struggle with fragmented relationships, who have a hope and a desire for healing.

During this difficult season, I turned to God as my refuge and strength. His love and grace became my foundation, guiding me through the darkest moments and helping me find hope and purpose amid the pain. My faith became an essential part of my healing process, reminding me that I am never alone, and that true restoration is possible through His mercy.

Divorce forced me to confront my vulnerabilities, my mistakes, and the importance of mental and emotional health. I realized that healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken on the surface but nurturing the core of who we are. It’s about reclaiming peace, rebuilding confidence, and fostering love—both for ourselves and those around us that we love. While my faith in God played a primary role in restoring my mind, body, and spirit, I truly believe that the correct counseling, along with proper care of our bodies, also serve as pivotal tools in the healing process.

This personal experience ignited my passion to create Jordan Valley Retreats. We are designing comprehensive programs that address the complex needs of marriages and families, offering counseling that heals wounds and fosters understanding, while also emphasizing the importance of healthy eating, natural healthcare practices, and trusting in God’s guidance. I believe that true healing encompasses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and that faith is at the core of that journey.

The reality in the United States is that approximately 50% of first marriages end in divorce, with the rate rising to about 60% for second marriages and a staggering 73% for third marriages. These statistics show how vital it is to address the underlying issues and to build stronger, healthier relationships from the start, as well as repair those that have been fractured.

Our core vision and mission at Jordan Valley Retreats is to help put an end to the dysfunction that has immersed itself into marriages, families, and friendships — one relationship at a time — by providing cutting-edge counseling techniques, holistic support that fosters healing and growth, and ongoing aftercare.

My journey has taught me that no matter how difficult life’s setbacks may seem, with God’s help, there is always hope for renewal. God has blessed my life with a marriage of 29 years, and a godly wife who shares my passion for others. I am committed to walking alongside those who have similar experiences as mine, on their path to healing and growth, helping them build the strong, healthy relationships they deserve.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story. It is my hope that through their experiences at Jordan Valley Retreats, many others will find the faith, support, and recovery they need to live the happiest, healthiest lives that God designed for them.

“Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”
